The Grand Canyon is most likely already on your - and just about everyone else's - bucket list, but if you need a little extra motivation to actually plan the trip, check out these photos. Monsoon season is typically between mid-June and mid-September so you've got plenty of time to rally the crew, save up vacation days, and do whatever else you need to do to see it for yourself.

If you do make it during a major rain storm, just be sure to be safe - keep an eye on flash flood warnings and if you hear thunder less than seven seconds after you've seen the lightning, head to safety IMMEDIATELY.
