Olympic National Park Is an Oasis of Family-Friendly Adventuring

Visit one of the most enchanting parks in the United States.

Known for its lush and moody rainforest, Olympic National Park is so much more than what first meets the eye. Ninety-five percent of its 920,000-plus acres is designated as Wilderness, and inside the park's boundaries, you'll find lakes, mountains, and a breathtaking wild coastline along the Pacific Ocean.

Olympic National Park is less than three hours from Seattle and is an excellent place for an adventurous family vacation. There's plenty to see, so go easy on yourselves by making sure you have somewhere relaxing to lay your head each night. Nation's Vacations four lodges and two campgrounds will keep you close to the action without sacrificing the creature comforts that are so key to traveling with kids. There are plenty of dining options, too, so you won't have to travel far to feed the kiddos. And don't forget to visit the mineral hot springs and pool at Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort while in the park.

If you're planning on visiting in the fall or winter, try staying at the Lake Quinault Lodge. This grand, rustic lodge is open year-round and is the perfect place to warm you up and make your whole family feel at home after days outside exploring the gorgeous park. For indoor family fun, the Lake Quinault Lodge even has an indoor pool and game room.
