Can get pretty crowded on nice days in the late summer and fall, but nonetheless a great spot to relax in the sun. As Amanda said, if you bring your food from OTG up there, you can beat the crowds of the parking lot and enjoy your feast!

Stunning views of the valley and as Eric mentioned, much smaller crowd than other scenic points in Yosemite.

If the shuttles have started, make sure you get there early on the weekends as there can be a pretty long line. And when you hike the falls, head down to the base of the falls for an amazing view!

Pretty amazing spot to hike. Make sure you get there early if you're headed there on the weekend.

It's really a site to see! And since it's one of the few areas with a line of Cypress Trees, which you can see from the highway, it isn't too hard to spot. If you plan to use google maps to get there, make sure you load it in Inverness, because you won't have service once you enter the seashore.

This hike is great for families as the trail is well-maintained and had a few strollers on it when I went. It's also relatively flat. Once you get to the small, wooden bridge, you'll be walking on sand, but you can head out to the coast and essentially have the beach to yourself.

This point is supposedly one of the windiest points on the Pacific, so bring a jacket. There is a small parking lot, which can get crowded, but there is parking leading up to the parking area.

There are 2 benches at the end of the trail where you can take in the view. Bring your lunch or a snack with you and take it all in.

Amazing view that you should definitely stop and check out before leaving the park. There's a small parking lot on the left side of Northside Dr. just before you exit the park or loop back onto Southside Dr.

Stunning view of the valley! Even though it can get a little crowded, you should be able to find your spot to take it in. There's parking on the right side of the street as you head up the hill, before you hit the parking lot. I'd recommend taking one of those as the lost fills up quick.

If you do the quick route and park up at the trailhead (a couple miles past Sentinel Dome/Taft Point) it can get pretty crowded. It's definitely worth stopping to check out, but make sure to leave yourself some time to hit Taft Point as well.

Possibly the coolest place I've watched the sunset. It's a pretty easy 1 mile hike to the point - there is a small creek crossing. If you're afraid of heights, there is one part of the viewing area that area has a guard rail installed, so rest a little easier.

It can get a little crowded during the weekend especially late spring / summer. if you are going to check it out during that time, it's best to go early or toward the end of the day s the crowd thins out.

The trail is really well maintained and plenty wide. Consider doing this an hour or two before sunset as the viewpoints up the hike are amazing. There are several benches along the trail to rest or take in the view. As mentioned earlier, bring a jacket (maybe a beanie) if you're planning on going up at night. The summit can get pretty windy and cold.

Amazing views of the city, especially at sunset. There's a really secluded beach on the southwest side of the island to relax and take a dip at during the day.

Beautiful, scenic views on a relatively flat, well-maintained trail to the cove. The trail system is very clearly defined, making it easy to explore other areas. If you're headed there on the weekend, get there early as it can get crowded. If the parking lot is full, you can park on the side of the road just outside of the park.

Great waves when I was there. There's also a small restaurant with good gallo pinto just up the road, walking distance, from the main break.

Make sure to bring your waders. There's a fair amount of brush along the banks and they're elevated, so you'll be doing a lot of roll casting.

Never a bad spot to relax, enjoy the beach, and the sunset. If you're hungry, swing by TK Burgers (http://tkburgers.com/) right next to the pier.

Great views of the park! Remember to get an early start on the trail if you're hiking it during the summer.

The parking and trail were a little crowded, but it was a Sunday. It looks like someone has been posted at the end of the boardwalk to prevent you from getting down to the falls. There's a small trail down to the creek from the lower parking lot, which gets you closer.

Great views of the surrounding area and the lake from the Ledge. I went on a Sunday and the trail was pretty crowded. Bonus was swimming in the lake afterward.

The views are awesome and the cabins are pretty roomy. You'll have a great time here as long as you remember to bring your sleeping pad. The beds are just wooden platforms.

When paddling there, if you can get on the water early, before the wind, you'll be glad you did. We camped at Tomales Beach, which gets a little crowded, but was best for the group because it has a bathroom. Also, rent your kayaks as far in advance as possible to try to secure them from the Blue Water shop in Marshall. They has a second shop in Inverness, which we took off from, but it adds about an hour and a half to your paddle time. Oh and the sunsets on the beach are unreal!
