Explore one of Scotland’s most beautiful natural wonders. These crystal clear pools of water are a popular place to visit and it’s not difficult to see why.

To arrive at the Fairy Pools, you must take the B8009 on the west of the Isle of Skye. The road runs through Carbost, where the “Talisker Distillery” is located. You will see a sign that says “Glenbrittle” and you will follow that road all the way to the "Fairy Pools Car Park", or just enter in the coordinates (57.250550, -6.272253)

The trail begins right across the street on what seems like a long flat trail to the base of mountains. The trail is a loop that measures about 5 miles round trip but, if you are only interested in the Fairy Pools you are looking at an out and back trail that measures about a mile with minimal elevation gain.

These turquoise pools of water are made up from various waterfalls flowing from the mountains and the water is ice cold. There are plenty of places to explore and every second of it looks like it is straight out of a movie scene.
