This is an outstanding view of Glasgow.

The city of Glasgow has a lot to offer and this is a gem I am happy we had the opportunity to check out while we were here. It may seem odd to suggest a graveyard, but it’s a beautiful site. The graves are intricate and the views are endless.

Some history:

The burial ground was intended to be interdenominational
The first burial was in 1832: Joseph Levi, a jeweller
There have been 50,000 burials here
Around 3,5000 tombs are up to 14 feet deep
It is now 37 acres in size

We went at night for sunset and walked up the hill to the Necropolis and also walked around the church next door: Glasgow Cathedral, which is the oldest building in Glasgow. Street parking was easy.
