Description

Added by Joel Bear

First come, first served campsites right next to the Colorado River. Close proximity to Arches and Canyonlands. Close potential for crowdless hiking along the stream to Negro Bill Canyon (4 miles roundtrip). Duration: Overnight.

Granstaff Campground has 17 campsites available, which are first come, first served. The sites are $15 a night per vehicle. The campground is a little limited and doesn't have running water, so bring your filter or head into town and pick up supplies.

During the day, you can easily make your way to Canyonlands or Arches. If you only have a little time on your hands or are looking for something quick, hike into Negro Bill Canyon. The canyon is approximately 4 miles roundtrip with little elevation. On the hike, you'll make it to Morning Glory Bridge, which is a natural rainbow bridge. Bring a swimsuit as you there are a few spots you can jump in.

Camping at Granstaff Campground Reviews

This is one of my favorite campgrounds in Moab. It is located perfectly on the river and so close to some amazing hiking. Negro Bill Canyon is absolutely worth checking out and hiking to the arch.
