Camp out at the only campground in Arches NPGet to experience the park's attractions before the sun and the crowds get too intense (Delicate Arch, Broken Arch, Sandstone Tower, etc.). Directly from the campground, take the 1.2 mile round-trip trail to Broken Arch and back. Be sure to reserve a campsite.

This popular campground houses 50 campsites. Keep in mind that since it's the only campground in Arches, it can be crowded from March through October, so get on it early. This campsite not only provides easy access to landmarks like the delicate arch, but also provides very convenient access to trails right from the campground -- the broken arch trail leaves from the campground and is only 1.2 miles round-trip.

The campground facilities here include grills, tables, potable water, and both flushing and pit toilets. Be sure to bring your own wood or charcoal for the grill. The individual sites are $20/night and must be reserved online here here. During the prime months of March through October, you can only reserve the sites online; the ranger station does not keep track of availability. During the months outside of this period, the sites are first come, first served.

A few things to note if you're camping here: Dogs are allowed in the park, but they have to be on leash at all times. There are local kennels if you feel that your best friend would enjoy the time more not being cooped up. Also, the temperature drops at night, so if you’re prone to getting cold, bring an extra layer even in the summer months.

Devils Garden Campground Reviews

There are not a lot of campsites so you'll definitely want a reservation in peak season. The campground is at the far end of the park so the drive to town is about 30 minutes.
