Camp at The Wedge (East Side)

The Wedge, which is also known as The Little Grand Canyon is located in the northern part of the San Rafael Swell. The closest town is Castle Dale, Utah, and most people drive past this part of the San Rafael Swell on their way to Moab, or other parts of the Swell.

The views are remarkable. It's no reason its nickname is Little Grand Canyon. There are trails around the rim of the canyons, and plenty of exploring to be had if you are a competent self navigator. 

The campsites on the east side of Good Water Drainage of do not have vault toilets or water. So, you'll need to dig cat holes or bring your own Luggable Loo. In the summer, it can be quite hot, so it's busier in the spring and fall when temps are more moderate. Keep in mind, busy is a relative term for the Wedge and the campsites on the east side of Good Water Drainage.
