The Bar M Loop is primarily known for mountain biking, but it is also great for hiking and trail running. It connects with other more advanced trails like Bar B, Deadman’s Ridge, Rockin’ A, and Circle O for those looking to extend their adventure.
No permits are required to access the Bar M Loop Trail.
There is a large, free parking area at the Bar M Trailhead, just off Highway 191, about 7 miles north of downtown Moab. Look for signs indicating the Bar M Chuckwagon or Moab Brands Trails.
Dogs are allowed on the Bar M Loop but must be kept on leash at all times. Please pack out all waste.
The trail is well-marked with maps at major junctions.
Best times to visit are spring and fall, when temperatures are milder.
There is little shade on the trail, so bring plenty of water and sun protection.
E-bikes are permitted on the main Bar M Loop, but not on all connecting singletrack trails.
