Lambs Canyon is an awesome 4 miles out-and-back trail you are sure to fall in love with. It doesn't get very much sunlight so it stays perfectly cool during all seasons. This trail leads through dense spruces and aspens giving you that feeling of really being out in the woods.

Take I-80 East through Parley's Canyon and get off at the Lambs Canyon Exit. Stay right off the exit and start heading up the canyon. You will follow the road 1.5 miles. You will see the trail head on the right side of the road with a small area to park on the left next to the bathrooms.

The trail is pretty gradual but gets slightly steep at some points. After traveling 2 miles to the top of Lambs, you can either drop into Millcreek Canyon or you can turn around  and head back the way you came. It's a pretty non-technical trail, allowing you to climb and descend as fast as you want.

Trail Run or Hike Lambs Canyon Reviews

I live about six miles from the Lambs Canyon exit so I hike/run this trail about once a month. It is a really great trail in the summer because it is very well shaded. It is almost exactly two miles to the top with gorgeous views into Millcreek Canyon. I have hiked the Mount Aire Trail from the Millcreek Canyon side which is equally stunning. It's on my bucket list to hike up and over as a shuttle or round trip for an eight mile hike. I highly recommend Lambs Canyon which I consider off the beaten path. Definitely a favorite, quiet hike.
