About this place

Added by Jordan Smith

This beautiful single track is well traveled and maintained, dog-friendly, and mostly shady.

Mueller Park is a beautiful, quaint canyon, with some sweeping up canyon views throughout the ascent. The trail is a fun, family friendly single track from the bridge all the way to the rock. You will pass a bald strip (pipeline) that runs North to South which marks about halfway to the rock. At the top, you will find a well maintained view point with benches that overlooks the Salt Lake Valley toward Antelope Island State Park.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can scramble down to Elephant rock from the viewpoint.

Starting elevation is about 5,225 feet with a steep grade for about a quarter mile and then a gradual 3.5 mile climb to about 6,250 at Elephant Rock.

This trail can get busy, be mindful of other hikers and runners, and keep an eye out for mountain bikers.

Getting There:

From I-15, take exit 315 for Woods Cross and Bountiful. Head East from the interstate and remain on 2600 S. It will curve left and turn into Orchard Drive. Remain on Orchard Drive until you reach 1800 S in Bountiful. Turn right and continue East on 1800 S until you arrive at Mueller Park Canyon. Park somewhere on the road before the park entrance. There are a handful of stalls right at the trailhead, but they are often full. Walk into the park and find the trailhead just before the entrance gate on your right. You will cross a small bridge marked "trail."

Great Little Run
Great footing and elevation gain is gradual enough to go fast. Watch for bikers flying down though!
