Take it easy at this small, laid-back campground where the Olympic Mountain Range meets the sea.

Spend a relaxing night camping at the Salt Creek County Park. This family-friendly adventure can be a perfect overnight getaway for anyone in need of some easy-access outdoors time.

Enjoy the trails that Salt Creek has to offer through the rainforest and down to the beaches where you will find neat, igneous formations along with some coastal wildlife if you're lucky! Sandy beaches, tidal pools, crystal blue water and Tongue Point make for fun, easy exploring. Head down to the beach for views of British Columbia's Vancouver Island as well!

Directions:

  • Take the WA-112 Highway west of Port Angeles, the nearest large town.
  • Turn right after ~7 miles onto Camp Hayden Road
  • Follow the signs, enjoying this winding road all the way to the campsite.
