We lucked out on this March weather! A clear and warm day is a perfect day to head to Issaquah and hike to Poo Poo Point to see the Issaquah Alps! The hike is a little bit of a butt kicker if you're in a hurry to get to the top for sunset (which we were). But ultimately it's only a gain of 1800 feet in 3.5(ish) miles. And there are spots along the way to stop for refreshments and photos! The two clearings (one on the way and at one at the top) are perfect for a picnic, a drink, or just to sit and enjoy the gorgeous views.

Beginning at the trailhead in Issaquah, you'll ascend some rock-made stairs for about 1/8th of a mile. After that, you are essentially doing switchbacks all the way. You'll gain 1800 feet in the climb up (but hey, it's all downhill on the way back!) It took us 3 hours roundtrip at a steady clip with 4 water breaks.

The views are known around the PNW, and as a quick day hike, sunrise, or sunset hike, you can't beat it for views and accessibility.
