Description

The view from the top of this hike is stunning.

On this hike you start out at a small makeshift parking lot at at around 1000 feet in elevation. The trail is somewhat hard to find, however where the lot crests, near the center is a trail leading west toward the Columbia River. The trail was easy sailing the whole way and was relatively flat. There is the occasional root or rock pile but other than that there is nothing making the trail hard to walk on.

Once at the cliff edge you will be greeted with a spectacular view of the lake and surrounding cliffs. You want to be careful when you get to this point because it its a very long drop-off.

When returning the trail is a little hard to find because the area is so rocky. It is close to the corner of the cliff edge and it will be going away from the lake. You take the same trail on the way back.

WARNING: This is rattlesnake country so be careful and make sure you are listening to what's going on around you.
