After visiting Bush Creek Falls, keep walking to beautiful cascades and White Oak Falls.
This is a wonderfully easy hike to White Oak Falls. After visiting Bush Creek Falls, keep walking down the trail. You'll enter the Bush Creek Nature Preserve area.
If you visit after heavy rains, please note that your feet will get wet. There are numerous cascades that come down and cross over the trail on their way to the creek. They are easy to maneuver and only one or two get deep enough to cover your shoes.
Go down the trail 1.25 miles from the Bush Creek Overlook area (1.5 from parking lot) and you'll arrive at the end of the trail. You'll see large boulders and water crashing down over them to join the Bluestone River.
Once you are done, turn and go back down the trail. There is little to no elevation gain on this hike which makes it perfect for beginner hikers or families.
