Camping at Devils Lake State Park--an Ice Age National Scientific Reserve--is a great way to relax and enjoy the beautiful, mind-clearing nature of Wisconsin. Chill at the lake, go for a paddle, or hit the shady forest trails.

Devil's Lake State Park has 29 miles of trail that vary in difficulty. The most popular trails are the East and West Bluff trails that circle Devil's Lake and offer some of the best views in the park. If you want a more relaxing day, head to the beach! It's a family-friendly spot that is the perfect place to spend a warm afternoon.

Book a campsite in advance (fees here) to secure a spot. The campsites have stores where you can buy basics such as food, firewood, and ice. You can also rent paddle-boats or canoes in the summer if you want to relax out on the lake. Visit the nature center, check out the trails, and enjoy a guaranteed good time in this beautiful state park.

You will also need a Wisconsin State Park Sticker. It is $8/day for residents and $11/day for non-residents, more information can be found here.

Camp at Devils Lake State Park Reviews

There are three different campgrounds to stay at within the park, one of which is designated for groups. Camping spots are decent and the campgrounds have newer, well maintained toilet and shower facilities. The park itself is very nice, there are lots of trails to hike and the lake is great for swimming, kayaking, etc. The cost of staying at the campground is slightly high after paying the Wisconsin park fees compared to other nearby states (we stayed two nights for about $65-70) but considering everything that is available to do within the park is still worth the money.

Beautiful park, great hiking. Eventually the sun came out & we took a dip in the lake.
