The Meyer's Beach Sea Cave Trail is an alternative way to view the Apostle Islands Mainland Sea Caves

While many visitors view the mainland Apostle Island Caves via kayak, this trail provides an alternative view of the caves. The Meyer’s Beach Sea Cave Trail follows 2.3 miles of the Lakeshore Trail, which begins at the Meyer’s Beach parking lot near Cornucopia, Wisconsin. The first 0.7 miles of the trail is on a boardwalk. Views of the Lake are rare until you get close to the cave overlooks.

After the boardwalk section, the trail becomes more up and down but still a relatively easy hike with less than 300ft gain. After 2 miles, you will come to a natural bridge and the first viewpoints of the caves.

Continue .3 miles to a view of “The Bowl”--one of the best views of the hike. After taking in the views, head back on the Lakeshore trail the way you came.
