The hike to Delta Lake is about 7 miles long, round trip and about 2,300 elevation.
The trail to Delta Lake starts at the trails leading up to Amphitheater Lake and Surprise Lake.
As you get about half way up to those first to lakes, the trail takes a right and goes off path that is only marked by rock stacks by the Parks rangers. Once on that off beaten trail, the incline gets much steeper and takes a lot more energy and stamina. After that last climb, you will finally reach the lake, which will eave you feeling accomplished and in awe.
If you would like to camp there at Delta Lake, you will need to make sure you obtain a back country camping permit from the Visitors Center.
