Distance: 6.6 mile loopMinimal elevation gain (option for 1,000 ft climb)Cool off in emerald lake at the base of the Tetons after your hikeCold, extremely refreshing water with astounding view

After driving up to the visitor's center, follow a paved path around the lake. Depending on what route you take, it may turn to gravel. Continue walking until you find a spot to hike down to the lake itself, which should not take more than 10 minutes.

If you're looking for something more difficult, hike around the lake to find the trail that heads uphill (there's only one). This trail gains about 1000 feet of elevation, but the view is certainly worth it. Depending on your speed, it should take about 30-45 minutes to reach the top. This hike will also make the swim in Jenny Lake even more refreshing.
