Microlight Flight over Victoria Falls

A reservation through Bakota Sky (http://www.seasonsinafrica.com/adventure-activities-zambia/victoria-falls-activities/livingstones-adventure/) is necessary for a microlight flight. It's possible to book online but if you're already in-country it's worth talking to your hostel or hotel about booking the flight.

Ask your hotel/hostel the best way to get to the airstrip, but most places will offer a shuttle or taxi. The airstrip is located in Zambia, so if you're staying in Zimbabwe, you may need to go through the passport control. Upon arriving at the airstrip, you will be briefed on safety, given a locker for personal items, and a flight suit / helmet.

You can't bring anything with you on the flight but don't worry! There is a camera mounted on the wing and your pilot has control over taking pictures. At the end of the flight you will have the opportunity to purchase the photos from the trip.

Once your take-off time comes, hop on the back of your microlight, take a deep breath, and get ready!

The airstrip is located very close to the Zambezi, so you'll quickly be above the river heading toward the Falls. Keep an eye out on the islands in the river as sometimes you can spot elephants or other wildlife. You'll head through the mist of the thunderous falls and circle for the breathtaking panoramic views of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
