Snorkel at Monkey Point
Little Bay Road, British Virgin Islands
Description

This is an awesome place to snorkel, its top five in the British Virgin Islands.
This beautiful cove is top five on the list of places to snorkel in the British Virgin Islands. Monkey point is located on the southern tip of Guana Island. The fish are large in size and definitely not shy, they are used to people being in the water and will come right to you. I have heard of people even being able to touch fish. Which is a cool experience but don't over use. This area is home to large tarpon and sea turtles, which isn't uncommon but definitely something you don't see everyday at other spots in the islands. The island is private but due to laws of the British Virgin Islands the beaches have to be open to public use. So if you get on the beach don't go hiking or wondering because you might get in trouble.
If you're looking into a trip to the islands and want a boat because this spot and every other island are only accessible by boat I would recommend you look into MarineMax Vacations. They have a great selection of trips and boat sizes. If you work with MarineMax vacations they partner with Sail Caribbean divers and through them you have the option to rent kayaks and paddle boards along with dive gear. Its a very easy way to get all your stuff though one company and it will be waiting on the boat when you get there. I recommend this company and have used them before, its a great way to see the islands and great spots like this.
If renting a boat isn't your thing and you stay on land there are also water taxis so you can still get out on the water. Almost any water taxi will take you here but i recommend dolphin shuttle, they again are good company I have used and liked.
