My partner and I are rafting, hiking and fishing our way through the West on a six-month road trip in our #tacomawayfromhome. We're always looking for folks to adventure with, so feel free to reach out!

The title says it all. We made the mistake of pulling into Zion on Memorial Day during a road trip. Luckily, we were visiting a family friend who works for the Park and followed his recommendation to beat the crowds at this spot. It was so serene and quiet, and a really mild hike. I was feeling really sick that day, but didn't want to miss out (I mean...it's Zion...), so this hike was exactly what I needed. We also found this tiny, six or seven inch arch high up on a canyon wall. It was probably the only time I've thought a geological formation was cute, but it was very cute!

I loved this hike! It was perfect for the beginning of summer to start getting my hiking legs back in shape. The parking lot at the trail head was full, but there are plenty of spots on the highway to pull over and park before walking down into the State Park. Vikingsholm charges a fee, so we just walked around the outside. Highly recommend the short hike to the Falls above the Vikingsholm!
