This is a great hike! The trail is well marked and maintained and the view from the top in unbeatable. Not too challenging and the rocks at the top are the perfect place to rest and snack before you head back down.

Loved this hike! It was an easy one and led to some beautiful falls! There weren't too many people and we found a part of the river no one was at to let our dog swim and play fetch. Perfect day trip!

We went in December right before New Years and it was absolutely freezing. The temperature outside was already cold but the wind on top of those mountains was so strong and made it much colder but it was still so awesome! There were a lot of people out braving the cold with us too. An easy hike and is definitely do-able in the winter as long as you bundle up! And make sure the parkway is open. I've tried to get out there before when the roads were iced and you couldn't access these trails.

This place is so cool. We parked at the main welcome center and walked on the boardwalk to the beginning of the trail. First we walked through a pine forest, typical of Georgia, then hit the boardwalk which felt more like South Georgia or Florida, and then the rock walk to the top which felt like Stone Mountain (and was totally gorgeous with an awesome view!) We kept walking around just to see what else was there and we found the lake there which was so peaceful, we didn't see anyone else there that day! After the lake we kept walking and found ourselves in sand and saw a few cacti, there were a few blue marks to follow but we were just sort of wandering. We ended up in a field that led us back to the road. Overall a really cool and diverse place! Pretty easy to hike too!

This is a super simple trail most anyone can complete. The trail is well marked and easy to follow. I happened to be there during the drought in December so the stream was pretty small, but beautiful nonetheless!
