Beach To Dam Trail at Lake Macbride is a 3.1 mile loop hike that takes you by lake MacBride and the Iowa River located near Solon, Iowa. This is a very manageable hike for all skill levels- it only has 141 miles of elevation and is not super long.
This Hike runs along the river with constant scenic views of the water and the aquatic life. Sadly the area on general is pretty populated so there is list much wildlife to see right off the trail on land. One of the very unique features of the trail is that it is mostly made up of rock terrain so good hiking shoes are defiantly recommended. This is a pretty trail, with a forgiving surface. It's great for an out and back from the beach, or a link in a longer outing, as it can be combined with the North Snowmobile Trail or the McBride Nature Recreation Area trails. in addition, the Spillway that is close to the hike is also a destination that many hikers try and go to as well.

Hike Beach To Dam Trail At Lake Macbride Reviews
Nice trail along Lake Macbride that is pretty easy to hike. The spillway and the beach are both destination points that are also very scenic. There are points along the way that have benches to sit at, too.
