Osprey Nature Trail is a moderately trafficked trail that is best visited during the months of April-September.
Osprey Nature Trail is a 1.1 mile loop hike that takes you past great forest setting located near Solon, Iowa. This hike offers lots of shade and does not have a lot of incline, making it accessible for hikers of all skill levels. There are parts of the trail that go right next to the Iowa River offering great photography opportunities. In addition, there are parts of the trail near the middle where you can get views of the spillway/waterfalls.
Sine the trail goes through the Lake MacBride State Park, you can stop there on your hike or on your way in or out for plenty of activities. Lake MacBride State Park offers boast rentals, swimming, paddle boarding, and a number of different camping reservation options.
