This may be one of my absolute favorite though little known beaches in Laguna. I love photographing this beach it has so many amazing contrasts from the rocks to the beach and a awesome little pool when the tide goes out. The tower is amazing and a fun place to bring the kids and let them feel like a princess or a pirate for the afternoon. It is a little hard to find as the gate is set back off PCH and there's a lot of overgrowth of greenery around the entrance. But it's worth the hunt!

This hike was amazing. Make sure you get there as close to 8 am as possible for parking. They don't open the gates till 8 so be prepared for that. We ended up taking Willow trail up to where it runs into bomber ridge to see the view of the ocean . There is little shade in the ascent and it's a pretty steep grade most of the way but the view is absolutely worth it. Once we rested a bit we went back down willow about 100 ft to Laurel spur and took that down to where it intersected Laurel canyon and followed that back to the staging area. It was a great morning hike hard enough to feel the effort but not too hard to complete.
