Because of the reviews on this adventure and my proximity, we did a portion of this trail. The name Siouxon is French and is pronounced “sue soon”, and means serpentine— according to the ranger in the town of Chelatchie. This US Forest Service office has great information on exactly how to get to the trail head etc. Awesome trail. Lots of green and photo ops.
