I went up to the glacier for the first time this weekend not knowing what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. Parking seemed to fill up quickly and the trail was pretty rocky but after a short hike you come to a beautiful lake with the glacier almost feeding into it. We were able to ski a much longer line than what I though was possible for July!

This is a great day hike if your not looking to go to far from the Fort Collins area. You do gain a lot of elevation so definitely make sure you bring enough water!

This was my first hike in RMNP and it didn't disappoint! The majority of the hike is above the tree line offering magnificent views the whole time. Flowers lined the trail and we got to eat lunch next to a family of marmots. Definitely bring sunscreen and lots of water since the trail is pretty exposed.

As you turn off the ring road, you leave most of the crowds behind at the near by waterfalls. When I was hiking up I past one local family on their way down and soon I was the only person for what felt like miles. Between the views and solitude this is a must do adventure.

This is one of my favorite hikes in the Catskills, you get amazing views for a relatively short hike. Hiking up before dawn offers amazing views of the sunrise from the view point near the top. The fall offers some of the best views, but on the weekends it can get crowded. If you hike up in the summer consider swimming at Peekamoose Blue Hole after to cool off, its just a quick drive over the mountain!
