Did the trip in 8 days. The wind definitely picks up in the afternoon on the lower end so it's good to do bigger days up front. Great scenery and fun rapids!

Definitely a must do hike! If possible do it on a weekday to avoid the crowds. We rolled in on Saturday and many of the camp area were already occupied. Also bring some good bug spray. They were out with a vengeance in late July.

I think if there weren't a 3 mile hike in this place would be packed all the time. The hike isn't bad. It's steepest at the beginning with switchbacks and the end climbing up to the springs. The springs are incredible! Various pools of different temperatures and a great shower almost exactly the temp I adjust my shower. If you get hot a quick dip in the stream can fix that!

Visited these while the stars were out! The river crossing wasn't difficult though nice to cross with someone. The cool river water was refreshing after soaking in the hot springs. One thing to note for future users be sure to check the red spider mite activity. Apparently was moderate to high while we were there. None of us had an reaction but definitely don't want to tempt fate.

The view from the top is spectacular. Definitely a climb to get there but well worth it. The hike only ended up being a little under 2 miles from the upper trail head. So if you're looking for a longer hike (i.e., more than 2 miles) this one doesn't quite fit the bill.

The fish are smart, but the scenery makes it worth while.

Great little hike. There are nice spots along the lookout to plop down and enjoy a picnic and if the seasons right watch the whales.

Get there early if you hit it on a weekend. Parking was a zoo. Otherwise the hike was great. I went a little further to the creek. Definitely worth it to get away from the crowds. Seems most people stop at Ponytail Falls and don't venture further.

The water is crystal clear and the lake could only be better if the mosquitos weren't so active. Definitely a trip to bring bug spray on but well worth every bite.
