This is on the Utah plate for good reason. It is wild how something like that has formed naturally. Gets crowded early for sure. One time I camped out of the NP but was able to see the area from a distance and it was packed on a weekday at 630A. Bring lots of water if doing it during the day.

I have spent quite a few weeks of time up in RMNP and I have to say this area is the most beautiful and despite its distance from the popular bear lake, if you get back far enough the crowds thin pretty well. If planning on backpacking in you need to get a reservation the minute they become available some time in the winter.

RMNP is hopping in the summer and with good reason obviously. This spot gives you great access to bear lake and surrounding trails. Hard to score a reservation during the summer.

This area is one of the most beautiful in the park. You pass multiple lakes on your way to Spearhead each getting progressively less traveled. The views once you pass Black Lake are really amazing.

This was one of my favorite 14ers so far. The views are incredible, the scree hiking is minimal, and it is very accessible. If you are up on snow climbing you can ascend one of the many climbs on the north face.

A good way to spend a day. If you are visiting you can spend part of the day at Rampart Reservoir or Woodland Park and then make the drive back to the springs or start early and finish the day at Garden of the Gods. AWD might be nice to have in some conditions but all cars should be able to make the drive.

As I remember, spots here fill up very quickly. We reserved ahead of time and glad we did. Best to time a trip here when there is no moon so you can really see all the stars. The best spots are the ones outside of the forest. Normally I always go for a more sheltered campsite, but this is the one place where you don't want any trees obstructing your views.

This hike is nice like it’s neighbor to the south because it is so high. The peak itself isn’t one of the most stunning or challenging but it is a fun outing like most.

Elbert is cool because it is the highest and is accessible without having to scramble. This trailhead gets packed so if you want something less crowded hike up the east side. With a 4wd car the trails are close to the same distance.

This is a nice camping area but there are better. It filled up fast when we were there.

This is a nice short hike if in the area for the day. It is kind of a scaled down precipice trail. During summer days the steep portions become a bottle neck and lines develop.

A good place to spend an hour or two hiking around with awesome views. The trail is not maintained during the winter to microspikes might be helpful.

This is a nice drive and an easy way for those to reach the alpine without hiking. It is the alpine so be ready for wild weather and cold regardless of the time of year.

This is probably one of the better locations for sport in PA. Much more solid rock than the bird. Hit it in the off seasons to reduce the heat. Give it a few days to dry out because the cracks leak after rain. Mostly slabby sport and it can be very crowded during the weekends. Yes, don't let your dogs run loose like any other climbing location. Autumn Arch was my favorite route out of all the climbs there after doing most of the top rated up to 11

Fun. Popular/crowded but it is nice to have a hike that involves some short scrambles at the top. You will have to lift yourself up and squeeze through boulders multiple times but it is never exposed.

The beach is a nice place to hang after you have done some hiking in the area. The water can obviously be very cold so don’t expect to spend a bunch of time in the water if you’re sensitive to temperature!

This is a classic picture and a popular spot for people to go for a sunset. Get there early like others have said if you want to get a good angle with a tripod

Thankfully I was able to do this a few times before it closed. A shame that it had to close due to so many accidents. Wierd because there are far more dangerous hikes and trips that people can do. Hopefully then can restore it to make it safe for the average person

This is a nice place to go if you are in the area and looking for a day trip. You can drive to it or take a 6 mile or so hike to it. Worth the trip if you haven’t seen fields like this before

This is a nice place to stop to look at after climbing. If you cannot find it, they are super high and shortly after the climbing on Wall Street ends for the most part.

This is a quick stop to really see some awesome history that spans centuries. The rock is practically road side and bathrooms are available as well.

This hike is often fairly crowded but if you have not been in a desert canyon it does not get much easier to access. There are bathrooms at the trailhead and a nice arch at the end for you to sometimes catch people rappelling from.

This is a nice walk to explore various times in history along with great views of the towers and surrounding desert. This can be done in an hour or less if you are short on time.

This combo gives you great views without any scrambling. The push over to Torreys can be tiring for sure, but it is worth it once you are there. The northeast valley that you hike up is beautiful and full of marmots ready to eat all of your things.
