Compete in the South Tahoe Standup Paddle Series

South Lake Tahoe, California

Description

Added by Brian Walker

A great little way to get out with the family and paddle against/with friends. A competitive and fun environment for everyone to enjoy the summer evenings.

Starting at the Lakeview Commons you begin with the race prep and the details of how everything will run as you check in. From there it's the National Anthem and off to the water. Everyone wades out into the water standing next to your board to wait for the sound of the horn. Once it goes you hop on your board and begin paddling out to the buoy. This is a fun race that has a different distance each race. The distances range from 2-5 miles depending on what sort of course is set and there are no requirements to do the entire race. You can do one lap or 3. After the race there is a great awards ceremony and dinner provided by one of the sponsors.

Races are the last Saturday of the summer (June-Aug.)
