Hike Ha Ha Tonka State Park
Camdenton, Missouri
Description
Added by Adrienne Fleck
Explore 250 foot bluffs, trails, boardwalks and the ruins of an old castle overlooking Lake of the Ozarks.
Karst geology and the woodland landscape makes Ha Ha Tonka State Park a place of unique exploration. There are many nooks and crannies to discover including a natural bridge, bluff shelters, tunnels, caverns, springs and sinkholes. The ruin of a stone mansion sits atop a high bluff overlooking Ha Ha Tonka spring and Lake of the Ozarks.
Stop in at the visitor's center to pick up a free map and then park at Ha Ha Tonka Oak Woodland Natural Area parking lot to find several trailheads. From there, take the Acorn Trail (1 mile) or Devil's Kitchen Trail (1.25 miles) or Turkey Pen Hollow Trail (6.5 miles) to explore the surrounding area. Don't miss the Natural Bridge, Whispering Dell or Balanced Rock!
