An area off Avery Drive near Sand Springs, OK has 25-35 foot cliffs with bolted sport climbing routes and bolts to rig a highline.

Drive along Avery Drive past Chandler Park until you reach a large pullout on the right side of the road (the side closer to the river). After parking, cross the road and find a trail leading up the hill to the cliffs. There are climbing areas both to the left and to the right. The highline bolts are found on the top of the cliffs in the area to the right. Climbing routes vary in grade from 5.6 to 5.12. There is also bouldering in the area.

The cliff top area can be reached by some easy scrambling around the left side of the left area, and has a great view of the Arkansas River and Sand Springs. Its a perfect spot for a bonfire, but please use existing fire rings, pack out all trash, and only used fallen branches for wood.

There is a network of doubletrack and singletrack trails leading off of a trail at the top of the cliffs on the left area that are great for mountain biking. The trail system will eventually lead you to Chandler Park.

Not sure about the legality of camping, but people definitely camp here. Please practice leave no trace ethics.
