Description

Shellburg Falls is a local favorite with the beauty of South Falls in Silver Falls SP without the crowds.

This is a moderate 6 mile out and back hike. The hike is uphill going to the falls making for an easier hike back to the trailhead latter in the day.  Along the way up the trail you will walk through a pasture with several curious cattle but they are harmless. At about 2.8 miles you will come to a bridge with a waterfall tumbling down into the canyon from there look for the sign and trail up to Shellburg Falls. Like many of the falls at Silver Falls SP, Shellburg Falls has a trail behind the falls that's very cooling after the hike up there.

If you continue past the waterfall the trail leads to a campground that can be driven to via a gravel road during the summer season. This trail is child and pet friendly.
