About this place

*Access to Triple Falls is currently closed. This is a gorgeous hike following the Oneonta trail along the Columbia River Gorge. Not only will you reach a phenomenal natural flowing triple waterfall, but you will pass several other hidden beauties that are lying in wait along the Columbia River Gorge.

This hike, starting at the Oneonta Trailhead is a 3.2 mile roundtrip. You will gain approximately 600 feet in elevation as the trail often switches from moderate flat easy hiking to more difficult elevation gain and even a little bit of downhill. You will soon reach a junction point (#438) that leads to the Horsetail Falls trail where you can also view the Middle Oneonta Falls. Once you continue on from the junction you will start a series of switchbacks that will lead you upwards toward Upper Oneonta Falls. The final segment of the trail is a little sketchy as there have been multiple land slides. The last time I visited Triple Falls, the trail was actually under construction due to a landslide. The trail is typically very wide but the cliffs can still be dangerous so please proceed with caution!

Short but Sweet
This hike is perfect if you only have an afternoon or morning. It is not too long, but the view of the falls at the end is breathtaking!

Great Hike!
Gorgeous views and scenery - some parts are a bit steep so I agree it's more of an intermediate hike. But lots of photo ...
