A super fast, rad, sport climb, that isn't too tough but will warm you up. Sport Climbing, as opposed to trad or bouldering. 1 Pitch, rated 5.860' almost straight up, so bring your chalk bag!

The huge huecos of 5 Gallon Buckets are often the first piece of rock that a climber touches on his or her first trip to the park. The fun and consistent 5.8 climbing is straightforward and enjoyable as a warmup or a top-rope.

This is the left-most route on the big huecoed section of the wall. There's one bolt that can't be seen from the ground (it's in one of the big huecos), so remember to bring a 'draw for it.

Due to its central location and easy grade this is possibly the most popular route at Smith Rock. There is almost always a rope up on it and a crowd of people at the base. It receives early morning sun and keeps it all day, making it a good starting point for the cold days. The route is protected by 7 bolts and a bolted anchor.

Once you're done, have something to drink and eat at the Terrebonne Depot. It's delicious, healthy and you deserve it.

Sport Climb 5 Gallon Buckets at Smith Rock Reviews

Probably the best 5.8 I've ever climbed…but yeah a long line to get on it when it's crowded

Such a great warmup spot. Best done early in the morning to avoid crowds (like what Hayden said in his review). Bathroom hut is close by and so is a pair of crutches.

Great climb for everyone to do! But try to avoid it on popular weekends if you don't want to wait for too long.
