Explore Cascade Park

Description

A once busy amusement park with a beautiful waterfall.
This is a little park with a lot of history which is what sparked my interest in going here. There is parking available all around the park but we chose to park by the bathrooms. The grounds are pretty sweet. There is the renovated dance hall, reused carousel house, and an awesome waterfall. We walked around the grounds for a little taking in the amusement park vibe that this area still faintly has.
Walking down the main path of Cascade Blvd you will come to a bridge. This is where you will first see all that remains of The Gorge rollercoaster that wound its way along the creek. After you cross the bridge you will see a little trail to your left that will take you up to the remains and along the creek. We walked that path until we came back up to the road.
If you want to get down to the falls the easiest way is from the road. You will see the path to get down into the gorge. We learned this the hard way and tried to make our way through the brush in the rain.
All in all, it is a cool park with a lot of history. (Cascade Park History)
