Hike the Seneca Trail in Cook Forest State Park

Right from its entry point, the Seneca Trail parallels the Clarion River, granting you a scenic view the whole way through. This trail is challenging in its narrow footpath and lofty climb. Be careful while looking around at the towering hemlocks and white pines.

Atop the trails peak, the burn in your legs will fade as your remaining steps to the Cook Forest Fire Tower will be fairly flat. It's surely a change in scenery as you stand at the height of over 500 feet. You will want to pay attention as the path converges with two trails along this route, both of which you will want to stay left.

When arriving upon the fire tower, the excitement to climb the 80-foot structure will be overwhelming, for the view that awaits you is truly amazing. The steps to the top are narrow and steep, so take your time. The only thing left to do after that is take a deep breath and soak it all in.
