The area is beautiful and I am giving 5 stars even though our experience was more challenging. We planned this for the first day of our trip and arrived on a rainy day at the end of August. We thought the hike would be chilly, but worth it for the hot soak after our overnight flight. It had apparently been raining for days and the river was running cold. So, after a cold wet hike in the pouring rain we jumped into the cold to occasionally tepid stream. This was then followed by an even colder hike out. It was not the start to our trip we envisioned, but it was an adventure!

For beautiful views without a great time commitment this is park is a must.
