Meditate at the International Center for Buddhist Meditation Ko Lanta
Ko Lanta Yai, Thailand
Description
Added by Margo Schmiederer
A serene temple open to the public for guided meditation
A serene center for meditation nestled within the jungle off the main road that circles around Ko Lanta. The International Center for Buddhist Meditation Ko Lanta is open daily meditation at 11:30am and 7pm, including individual sitting meditation and group walking meditation led by the monk. The space is large enough for a few people to join, but the less people the better as it is an exercise of focus without distraction. The monks provide pillows for you to sit on as you meditate on the floor.
When you arrive, be mindful of the silence and take your shoes off before you enter. Dress respectfully as well! The meditation can last up to 1.5 hours.
