Ski/Snowboard Brian Head, Utah
Brian Head, Utah
Description
Added by sophie —
Brian Head, Utah is a great place to go skiing and snowboarding because of great snow, views, runs, and prices! I love skiing here with my family! Navajo mountain is great for first-time skiers and snowboarders.
There is only 1 general store in Brian Head so I recommend getting groceries in St. George or Cedar City if you will be staying for a while. When you get to Parowan, a small town in Utah, you follow the signs past the cemetery until you are on a 2 lane road that will take you straight to Brian Head. If you don't have chains you might have some trouble if it is really snowy but it is usually plowed so you should be okay. You can rent equipment from Georg's Ski Shop. (Helmets are pricey)

As you can see the prices are reasonable. The runs are well groomed but usually there is an option to take powder route at the top. You can ski from mountain to mountain if most lifts are open. If not there is a free shuttle that comes to Navajo Lodge and Giant Steps Lodge every 15-ish minutes.
After the lifts close you will probably not see another person. There are 2 restaurants, Thai and pizza.
