Willa Cheng

Definitely pretty trail, very beginner friendly. I was first-time backpacking on my own (I did backpacking with a guide once before) and it was not very hard trail. There was a section of continuous uphill but it was not very strenuous. However I did not stay overnight due to the very bad mosquitoes situation. I was wearing a single layer UPF clothing and mosquitoes were biting through my clothing, despite me already sprayed repellent on top of my clothing and gear. We basically could not stand still for half a second or a mosquito will for sure bite you. The trail is beautiful, sections close to Camp Lake reminded me a lot of Yosemite. Be aware of mosquitoes and be prepared.
