Fresno Dome Campground is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The campground boasts a multitude of activity options and provides stunning views.

A great day hike from this campground is to the top of nearby Fresno Dome. Fresno Dome is a great location to picnic, watch the sunset, star gaze, or simply to relax and breathe some fresh air. The trailhead is conveniently in the campground.

Fresno Dome Campground operates on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and a fire ring. The campground has vault toilets and (sometimes) potable water. The campground is currently closed for the season. You can check campground status here. The campground is typically open from May - November. The cost to stay at the campground is $26 for a single site, $52 for a double site, and $7/night for additional vehicles.

Hike through Mariposa Grove to Wawona Point

There is easy parking in the Mariposa Grove parking lot. There are a variety of trails through the grove; you can follow the NPS guide maps to see each of the iconic trees. These include tunnel trees you can walk through as well as overturned trees showing the immense root systems.
