Just did this hike (in February) and it was amazing! Definitely a steep one but the view is incredible the whole way, and it was very easy to follow. Took us about an hour and a half to get to the top of windy point ridge. An awesome hike if don't have a lot of time or even if you do, opt to have a little picnic at the top!

This is probably the most beautiful hike I have ever done, the views along the entire way are like nothing I had ever seen before! Great for any skill level as there is no intense incline, and you can go for as long or short of a distance as you'd like. After the first 2km you might even feel like the only one on the trail! Definitely a highlight of my visit to Iceland and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

The first and last km of this hike was extremely challenging, but oh so worth it for the view at the end! What an amazing experience, definitely try to get out there as early as possibly to avoid a big line at the ending photo op, and to ensure a place to park. Wouldn't recommend trying this one out in the rain but on a nice day it's spectacular!
