I'm an adventurous spirit stuck in the 9-5 city grind. The outdoors has become my escape from the monotony, with photography being my second passion to design.

I highly anticipated visiting here on my second vacation to BC because of all the breathtaking photographs I've seen of this place. However, unless you go there first thing in the morning, it becomes incredibly crowded and not as enjoyable. We walked all of the surrounding trails, including the tree-top bridges where we ran into a quite annoying bunch of teens that thought it amusing to jump on each bridge, scaring my friend. I wish there were more employees to deter this behavior. Perhaps I would visit again if there were less people, but I don't think it would be worth it any other time of day. I will have to say though, as someone from out of town, I was very satisfied with the gift shop selections and I'm not much of a souvenir person. I got a much needed pair of gloves and hat that felt authentic to Canadian style without being overtly so.

I absolutely love this place. As a child back in the 90's I rode the steam locomotive across this bridge where as part of the attraction they would stop on the bridge for everyone to take photographs and walk down the hill side underneath. It is such a shame that this was destroyed and never rebuilt and I never understood the importance of such an experience at that young an age. Additionally, my Grandparents met and grew up in the nearby town of Kane & are currently buried in a cemetery overlooking the valley where you can see the remnants of the bridge in the distance. Such a lovely piece of history!

The journey to and from this place was in and of itself a great adventure. Well worth the drive through the mountains & a beautifully scenic place. Absolutely a magical and transcendent experience in the back country of North West Canada.
