The Bird River flows west from Bird Lake into Lac de Bonnet and then towards Lake Winnipeg. A short day paddle for confident kayakers, this river has a lot of flow through tight technical CII-IVt sets. The canyon is the highlight of the river with the river narrowing down to about 7ft wide and steep rock walls on either side. The rock on river right makes a great viewing spot to watch people go...

Just off of the main road at Falcon Lake (Highway #44) is the closest Crag to Winnipeg, Lily Pond. The cliff is 12-15m tall and ranges from some great beginner 5.2 all the way up to 5.9 cracks and slab. A well traveled path takes you up along the back of the crag to the top where you can set up some slings to anchor for top rope climbing and even set up a tent if you want! There is a small fire...
