It’s a romantic date spot for sure. Please be careful as there have been a lot of break ins to cars. No valuables!

Strawberry hill is a great training ground for running training! Sprint to the top and walk back down to the bottom. Great workout and nice views too!

Go paddling here. Ducks are aplenty. It’s a really cute area for a date. There is parking but best way to get into GG park is with a bike!

Great views and a short hike to get away from the city while still being in the city. Great morning activity!

A great full day hike (13 miles). Be prepared with food and water. The terrain is rocky, make sure to have good broken in footwear. Definitely not for the faint of heart, it’s pretty grueling.

A great way to see views of Joshua Tree! It’s a pretty easy loop. Rocky dry terrain. Nothing hard. It’s especially nice to see the wildflowers here in the spring time.

Great climbing spot and you don’t have to enter JTNP! Little to no shade so make sure you have appropriate clothing. This was my first time doing outdoor climbing and it was so fun!

The loop is short but really cool to see all the tree stumps. You feel so small in comparison! A fun hike to do with your family and small children.

No shade but a nice 3 mile hike. Bring water! They also have some vendors outside selling drinks if you need any. Lovely afternoon hanging out with my mom!

I hiked on top of the Mendenhall Glacier and it was a beauty! The water is so pure you can drink it. I only wish I had time to do some ice climbing!

The drive is a bit out of the way but it is a fun hike! Depending on the rainfall during the year- it could be a slight trickle or a gushing waterfall. The climb down to the fall isnt that scary but you do have to use caution.

A mix of everything on this trail. There is the devils kitchen, seven sacred pools and a cave! Walked back to the car on the 4x4 road. It was a great moderate hike!

Easy hike and beautiful views! The hoodoos are breathtaking! Make sure to stay on trail, I wandered off and ended up in a pee/poo area :(

Great spot to cool off on a hot summer day. It’s crowded but big enough to find a place to sit. Parking line can get long but you can park outside on the road instead.

Spectacular hike in the Malibu area! It gets hot and no shade so come prepared with water and sunscreen. It’s definitely a must if you are in the area.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds! They have free showers, right next to the water and super close to Lake McDonald to do boating excursions. Reservations are a bit hard to get so be patient; it’s totally worth it.

Got some great photos here. Quick stop and not crowded! Recommend!

Coast camp is a very good intro to backpacking but it is windy and cold. There were mice in the bathroom though there is a real toilet and running water.

A great day spent in the area is snowshoeing to Dewey Point! Make sure to get there early to get a good parking spot. If you are really early, you likely will be trail breaking. There are 2 routes- one is more uphill and strenuous and the other is through a meadow. Choose your own adventure!

A short hike to the top of Moro Rock. A good stop during a short stay in Sequoia NP. Would recommend!

The besttt sunrise was here. Super cold but warms up when the sun comes out. Worth the 5am wake up call! Now you will have to make reservations to get up there but if you know a local, you can get in no problem :)

It’s a slog up to the top. My 2nd 14er. Not nearly as epic as Whitney but a good time still. I was lucky to have stayed in the Research Center- tasty meals!

It's a must see while visiting NM. Just breathtaking at Golden Hour. Bring a sled to go down the sand dunes. So fun!

Great hiking area which gets you into nature with leaving the city! Lots of opportunity to break a sweat- there are uphills and stairs but also you can just take the easier routes to walk your dog. There are playgrounds for the kids and can be your launchpad to hike all the way up to Twin Peaks. Highly recommend this area!
