This is a beautiful walk, leading to a great lake to spend the day at.
Heading to the end of Kueng Road, you will find yourself going through gates and arriving in a parking lot. The point on the map is the trailhead to "Forests for the World," also known as Shane Lake. From here you can walk into the forest choosing from many different trails. There are roughly 15 km of different trails, but only 1.7 km for the loop around Shane Lake. Once you reach the lake, you can swim, fish, canoe, picnic, tan on the dock, and throw sticks for your dogs. This is a great family and dog friendly location, and also a very nice trail run. During the spring and fall many species of ducks and geese stop here for their semi-annual migration. In the parking lot there is another trail you can take leading to a lookout. This is a bit more advanced, but still doable. Its a 1.6 km loop, with a 25 meter elevation change. From here, you have a great view of the lake, forests, mountains, farmland, and the city. Just Beautiful.
